The map aims to promote these destinations promote tourism in general prioritize investment opportunities, and strengthen the economy by utilizing underexploited natural resources that contribute to physical and psychological well-being In Egypt, this map forms part of a national strategy for environmental tourism involving cooperation between the public sector the private sector and civil society to accurately identify environmental tourism sites and provide detailed information and images

DrAbdelaty Al-Mannaee Chairman of the Afro-Asian Union for Health Tourism and Environmental Tourism is the first in the world to design this type of map He began with the Egyptian Environmental Tourism Map gathering its scientific material as early as 2008 and publishing it as a guide that includes natural sites such as sulfur springs and black sand areas. The first edition was printed in Braille to be accessible to visually impaired users and later the map was developed into an electronic version

He subsequently designed Environmental Tourism Maps for Saudi Arabia Sudan Libya the United Arab Emirates Iran Morocco and South Sudan

His efforts continued for two decades and contributed significantly to placing Egypt on the global map of environmental and nature-based tourism Through these maps he aims to produce the first Atlas of Environmental Tourism  translated into several languages to expand international cooperation and strengthen the global environmental tourism sector

The Environmental Tourism Map serves as an important scientific and geographical guide for investing in natural environmental assets It also establishes a solid foundation for developing specialized training programs and organizing workshops to advance international environmental tourism
